Turo Style Risotto

Risotto is an italian soup and has been made different ways by many people... This is what we call "Turo Risotto" because it is a family recipe!! I've enjoyed this simple dish since I was a little girl!! Many of my friends have also enjoyed it over the years, and I'm going to share it with all of you!!

Ingredients:
1 lb. ground beef or sirloin
2 cups white minute rice
1 tsp garlic powder
48 oz or large can Swanson chicken broth
2 packets of saffron (0.0006 oz) - very difficult to find, it is the most expensive, rare spice in the world
Parmesan cheese to liking

Prep:
~Fry up beef in pan till cooked, drain grease.
~Meanwhile, boil broth in separate pot
~Combine rice and saffron in a bowl
~When meat is complete, add to a large skillet
~Add garlic powder to meat, mix
~Then add rice, saffron mixture, mix around
~Cover rice with broth, leave the rest of broth in pot
~Simmer on medium heat until rice is cooked, stir often
~Serve with parmesan cheese to liking in bowl, covering with more broth
~Keeping the extra broth separate allows you to have more because if you add it all when cooking the rice it is absorbed too quickly.

Add parmesan to your own bowl to your liking for flavor.. SOOOOOO good!!!!
