Beef Stroganoff... well kind of...

Technically in order for anything to be called "stroganoff" it has to contain sour cream in the recipe... mine does not... so hence the name of this post. This is a very yummy dish and definitely a splurge, or something to cook quick or something on a cold night when you just want a dish to fill your belly and warm you up!

Ingredients: (2 servings)
1 lb stew meat
1 tbl meat tenderizer or beat meat
5 tbl flour (not going to use all of it, it's just for lightly coating meat)
3 tbl shortening
1 can cream of mushroom
1 can " " filled with water
1 pkg dry onion soup mix (Lipton recipe secrets - I prefer)
1/2 pound of egg noodles

Prep:
~Tenderize meat with a tenderizer hammer or use the powdered meat tenderizer
~In skillet, melt shortening and brown meat completely
~Add onion soup mix over meat
~In bowl, mix mushroom soup and fill the can with water after, adding it to bowl
~Then add mixture to skillet and pour over meat
~Cover and simmer meat and gravy on low heat, being sure not to boil or burn bottom, stir constantly
~Boil water and cook noodles
~Cook meat till cooked all the way through but not so much that it becomes to tough to eat... I can't really give you a set time on this because everyone has stoves that work differently...
~Then layer noodles on plate covering with meat and gravy!!
